League of the Empty Chair

I came across League of the Empty Chair whilst searching for some Vitra Miniatures and quite frankly, it's fabulous. It's a photo group on Flickr that is 'a home for all those pics floating around the Flickrsphere of seemingly misplaced chairs'. They're not interested in just any photo of any chairs, but ones that are empty and/or interestingly out of place. Some of the photos are just beautiful, it reminds me of the chair equivalent of an elephants grave yard. I recommend you grab a cuppa, make yourself comfy and have a flick through the photos. I will be.

Vintage High Chair

If you want this, you need to get a wiggle on. It's on eBay with just a couple of hours left. Bidding is currently at £6.01. It's a highchair which goes in to a seat and table. I love it.  And on the high chair note, if you're looking for some original and funky cushions for highchairs, you need to get in touch with Brighton designer, Sophie4Sophie .  She's just created some custom ones for my Tripp Trapp. They're brilliant. I will feature them here soon.

The Eero Aarnio Ball Chair

This little lady shows us just how cool the Eero Aarnio Ball Chair is. She's rocking that chair at the Sit Down exhibition at the V&A. It's from the 60's and already a modern contemporary classic. Available from DesignShop UK from £6500 but you can get cheaper reproductions, such as the £350 copy from Furnisho . And big thanks to Bambino Goodies for the use of this image. If you're looking for more cool stuff for your under 4's, click over there now. It's addictive. I swear.

Condesa chair by Sentou Edition

Forget the set of drawers, it's the chair we're talking about here, specifically the Condesa chair by Sentou Edition. It's a take on the 'basket' chair common in the 1960s. Only this one has a structure in black powder coated solid steel with epoxy resin, while the seat is in plastic rope with UV protection. Which means it's good for in, out or in your conservatory. Three colour options, all selling for £305 . Via Retro to Go .
