Vintage Woven Red Chair

This little beauty can be bought from Winters Moon , a little shop right near me for just £74. Its got a lovely profile. It's red and black covered can. I'd get a nice cushion and make myself at home in this one.

Ikea PS Selma

The Ikea PS Selma chair is a bit of an odd ball and thats why we like it. You can turn the cushions to change the picture and also adjust your seating comfort. It's easy to keep clean as said covers are removable and machine washable. We recommend you check this one out in person next time you're at Ikea . £249.

Alma Chairs by Magis

What makes this children’s chair special is the creative solution that Magis designer Javier Mariscal has applied to a structural necessity – instead of the standard geometric ribbing patterns, the Alma Stacking Chair features a patterns of tree branches - with a few birds perched among them to add to the charming effect. It can be stacked up to four high, and is available in four colours to represent the four seasons – green for spring, yellow-orange for summer, brown for autumn, and white for winter. Cute. £31 from Nubie .

League of the Empty Chair

I came across League of the Empty Chair whilst searching for some Vitra Miniatures and quite frankly, it's fabulous. It's a photo group on Flickr that is ' a home for all those pics floating around the Flickrsphere of seemingly misplaced chairs '. They're not interested in just any photo of any chairs, but ones that are empty and/or interestingly out of place. Some of the photos are just beautiful, it reminds me of the chair equivalent of an elephants grave yard. I recommend you grab a cuppa, make yourself comfy and have a flick through the photos. I will be.

Kartell Lou Lou Ghost Chair

Lou Lou Ghost from Kartell is a reincarnation by Philippe Starck of his classic Louis Ghost Armchair. This time the proportions of Louis Ghost have been scaled down - making the Lou Lou Ghost Chair perfect for every little prince and princess, pampered pooch or feline friend - or for decorative use! From £51 at Utility Design .

eBay Find: 1958 Eames for Hermen Miller Aluchairs

I have just spotted this Aluchair over on eBay. It's only just been listed, so it's up for 1p. The description on eBay should have been expanded but it's actually in our favour it's not been. It's from the late 50's - I'd guess 1958. Actually, I am not even sure why I am sharing this with you. I may just end up owning this one myself!

'Chairs' Business Card Case

I am adding this to my must have list - yes, it's a little geeky but who cares! It's a Business Card Case celebrating the best of Charles & Ray Eames. Just under £30 from Utility Design .

Starck Magic Hole chair

Philippe Starck’s Magic Hole chair, was one of the biggest attraction at the 2010 Salone Internazionale del Mobile, the Milan furniture fair. Created in collaboration with Eugeni Quitllet, comes as chairs of two sizes as well as a sofa. The prototypes on display were a midnight black with a blast of orange filling the hollow armrests – voids intended to be pockets large enough for a magazine or newspaper... Barcelona Chair

The Barcelona Chair is an icon. Designed in 1929 by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe but in the early 1950's exclusive manufacturing and sales rights went to Knoll who have been making it ever since. It's lovely. Made to order, you're looking at least £3K but there are many good reproductions out there.

Eclectic Chair

Every now and again you come across someones work and think 'Wow ... I wish I could do that' and that's exactly what went through my mind when I saw the work of Heather over at Eclectic Chair .  Heather is clearly a talented upholsterer *jealous* who can give chairs new lease of life. She's great at restoration, funking them up and paying homage to their original style and features. So if you have an old chair gathering dust in your cellar, a family heirloom that you don't want to throw away, or a junkshop find that has a great shape but a sagging seat... do what I am doing with the eBay Wing Chair and let her restore it! Oh, and dont be put off that she's based in Leeds. Use Parcel2Go as your courier. They are cheap as chips ...

Etsy Find: Vintage Kitchen Chairs

A pair of mismatched kitchen chairs. By the look of it, one vinyl and one fabric. Need a little TLC but that'll be why they're only $30 from MaryBradshaw .  I love them.

Eero Saarinen Womb Chair

One day I will own a Eero Saarinen 1948 womb chair and ottoman   - when I have a spare £3.5k. One day soon I hope.

Jumper

This chair is another from Establish & Sons . It's form is fun, but it's composition is what excites us. Instead of upholstery the cover is knitted, it even has buttons to keep it's shape ... it's called Jumper . Love it.

Parkhaus Felt Cushions

The Berlin-based manufacturer Parkhaus had the ingenious idea to design and produce fitting seat cushions for classic and contemporary design chairs. All their designs are made of 100% wool felt. Above are some examples of their beautiful add-ons. Via Twenty First Century Retro

eBay Find: Winged Chair

I don't know much about this chair, other than I love it. And lucky me, got it from eBay for just over a tenner .... and that's for the chair and a matching chest / ottoman (see below)! It's needs a little TLC but it's going to look fab. I'll post up pics when I am done with it. In the meantime, if anyone knows anything about this beauty, do let me know. I'm guessing 1970s?

Frame Chair by Established & Sons

Wouter Scheublin celebrates the beauty of construction in the design of the Frame Chair . Its evident engineering aesthetic gives the chair its strength, unique character and unusual formality. It's an Established & Sons piece. So expect quality. Retails at £320 from Yoox.com .

I love a chair with options. A great dining chair. Retails in the region of £128+ ( Atomic Interiors )
